When we talk of sports, one of the most interesting and challenging sports that you can do are sports that are extreme or called as extreme sports. These are type of sports that is way beyond our imagination that was made possible. This was called extreme sports because of its extreme way of playing which can put your life at risk. But aside from the danger that goes with extreme sports, many people are really interested to try this even just once in their life, and many people find it entertaining and amazing. Doing extreme sports requires skills and talents for you to do different types of tricks that are entertaining to the audience.

 

There are actually different types of extreme sports that you can engage to, which will depend on the place where you live. Well there are also extreme sports that you can do during winter season like skiing, snowboarding, snow kiting and etc. Or, if you live somewhere there is river or Wild River, you can also do canoeing, kayaking, and white water rafting. Now you see that anywhere you go, there are so many extreme sports that you can choose from. It will be up to you to choose which of those will suit to your taste or interest. Up to now, there are other new extreme sports being discovered and invented for passion, hobby, and fun reason. In fact, you can actually create your own extreme sports. If you check the sports categories, you can see that there is a spot for extreme sports that compete worldwide. The most common competition being held is the skateboarding, BMX tricks, snowboarding, skiing, surfing, kite surfing, wind surfing, and etc.

 

So, if you want to challenge yourself by doing things that you have never done before, my best suggestion is to try doing extreme sports. But you also need to match the sport to your age but for me if I have one thing that I want to experience that is to do sky diving (parachute or wind suit), or I also want to try bungee jumping, or paragliding, or bas jumping or cliff diving, anything that has to do with falling from sky. Now, it’s up to you to choose which of those extreme sports that I have mentioned above will interest you and will entertain you. All of those sports I mentioned are all extreme and fun to try and it could be a onetime experience that you won’t forget and might consider as your pass time hobby.

 

Just try to study and learn the sports especially the safety precautions to avoid accidents to happen. Many people have hurt themselves because of going beyond the limits. Although this a dangerous sport but there are also safety precautions to follow to avoid unwanted accidents to happen.

042 KayakingIf you love the waters, I’m pretty sure that you are familiar with kayaking. Kayaking is a water sport that use small boat with paddle. Kayaking is normally done in river especially white water and free flowing rivers. The current of the river is the one that makes that ride more fun and exciting. I can tell you that because I have experience that myself in one of the local areas here in my where I live. It’s actually my first time to experience kayaking and honestly, it’s really fun and wants to do again and again. It’s a great experience that made me and my cousins plan to do it again when we have time. Just like other beginners, I also thought that kayaking is easy but I was wrong because there are things that you need to know before you can do things right and pass the obstacles. Remember, you will be dealing with Wild River plus the strong water current and big rocks that serves as obstacles. But don’t worry because before you start, experts will give you some orientation about kayaking, the dos and dont’s of kayaking. Well, as I have remembered, here are the things that you need to remember.

 

Paddle

The very first thing that you need to know and learn is how to paddle. Paddle plays a very important role in kayaking because it controls your direction, it also protect you from hitting big rocks that could turn your kayak upside down. That’s why you need to know how to paddle to keep your balance. There is actually a right way to paddle so you can properly keep your balance. By the way, kayak paddles are not the same with paddle in canoeing; kayak paddle is a one piece paddle with two flats in both ends. So you need to learn how to paddle if you want to go to left side and the same with right. In my experience, before we went to the obstacle of the river, there is a place where you can learn how to paddle and get your pacing. Once you have already got the hang of it, the person in charge will then direct you to go to the obstacles of the river.

 

Balance

The next important thing that you should learn in kayaking is the balance. Kayak boat is long slim type of boat. You need to know your balance so you won’t go upside down. The paddle will help you with your balance that’s why I mentioned earlier that you need to know how to properly use the paddle.

 

Safety Gears

For your safety, of course it’s a requirement that kayakers needs to wear safety gears like life jackets, helmets, and even goggles. One of the safety tips that the expert told us is once your boat go upside down, you need to let go of the paddle and swim away from the boat because the boat or the paddle may hit you in the head, or if you don’t get out of the boat, you may drown. It’s really hard to swim if you have life jackets and helmet plus the strong current of the water. So, if you can hold on to one of the rocks do that until someone will get unless you are strong enough to fight the current of the water.

I’ve experienced getting my boat upside down 3 times and luckily that there are people around who serves as our guide and help in case accidents happen. So, I was save by these people and help me get into shore. But that experience didn’t stop me to explore more because it’s undeniable that kayaking is truly a fun activity to do.
